Football chief says S-League clubs will receive more funding but punishing fixture schedule stays for 2011

- All local S-League clubs must run their own Centres of Excellence (COE) with under-16 and under-18 programmes, eventually moving to under-8, under-10, under-12 and under-14s, when more funding and other resources are available. It will complement youth programmes at the national level comprising junior COEs from under-8, 10 and 12s, and the National Football Academy's (NFA) under-14, 15, 16, 17 and 18s - The proposed National Training Centre will no longer be housed at Farrer Park. New location either in the west or north of the country and proposed operational readiness by 2015 - National Football Syllabus developed by FAS and endorsed by FIFA will now be the main coaching manual for all youth coaches and teams aged eight to 18 - FIFA approved FAS application for third FIFA Goal Project and FAS are identifying a suitable site to install FIFA-approved artificial turf.
