These limited editions of the book, titled Hard Truths, were offered for a minimum donation of $10,000. Demand for the signed copies was so overwhelming that original plans for 30 copies were doubled to 60. The books have raised $627,802 in total from 58 donors. The buyers range in age from 17 to over 70, and include several non-Singaporeans. Proceeds will go to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund which gives children from low-income families money for recess at school. The book is based on 32 hours of interviews with Mr Lee, conducted by seven Straits Times journalists. It will be launched on Thursd...
