StarHub will be the first local telco to offer a new Facebook mobile application for Java-powered mobile phones. With this new Facebook application, you can access profile pages, keep up with your friends' status updates and upload photos directly from your phone. You can also sync your Facebook friend list with the address book on your phone. It has quite the feature set but just note that you can't play Farmville on it yet. The app will be a free download for all StarHub mobile customers from Jan 29. You will not incur data charges when you download and use the app till Apr 30 (this does not include data roaming charges). Only mobile subscribers under StarHub's Happy Stars pre-paid plan can continue using the app for free .
