NFL offering financial advice to rookies: Players will learn how to choose the right financial adviser, do a pro...

WASHINGTON (AP) - The NFL is teaming with a financial group to help players joining the league avoid investment fraud. Prospective players and their families can get such advice before Saturday's East/West Shrine Game in Orlando, Fla., and at next week's Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala. The NFL will host presentations and set up information booths. Players will learn how to choose the right financial adviser, do a proper background check and learn about the risks of taking on debt. The league is working in conjunction with an investor education arm of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
