Malay issues may become hot in the coming GE, so Minister in-charge of Muslim Affairs brings along Deputy Prime...

SINGAPORE: More than 50 activists from the Malay community turned up for a dialogue with Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean and Minister-in-Charge of Muslim Affairs Dr Yaacob Ibrahim. Organised by the Malay Affairs Bureau (MAB) of the PAP, the dialogue on Saturday allowed activists to raise many issues. Among the concerns raised were those over Malay education and parenting. Dr Yaacob said: "We thought that with the impending GE (General Election), it is good for us to bring the activists together. We're not so sure if Malay issues will become hot, but I think the MAB is taking the approach of 'let's be prepared'."
