The Edusave funds for students and schools will be increased by $154.8 million.

The announcement was made by Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister for Education and Second Minister for Defence, during his ministerial community visit to Bukit Timah on Sunday. A one-off top-up of $130 will be made to the Edusave accounts of all primary and secondary Singapore Citizen (SC) students, including those in special education schools amounting to $54.8 million. Alongside the annual Edusave contributions by the Ministry of Education (MOE), each SC student will receive $330 and $370 at the primary and secondary levels respectively in 2011. MOE has also given out a one-off $100 million injection to the Edusave Grant of all Government and Government-Aide...
