Singapore forms Ministerial Committee on Tianjin Eco-city project

SINGAPORE: The Singapore Government formed a Ministerial Committee to enhance the coordination and support among government agencies for the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city project. The Ministry of National Development said the formation of the Committee reflects the importance Singapore attaches to this joint project, one of the only two Government-to-Government collaborations between Singapore and China. Beyond its physical development, various Singapore agencies are also working with their Tianjin counterparts to support the economic and social development of the Eco-city. National Development Minister, Mr Mah Bow Tan, is Chairman of the Ministerial Committee.
