The rail operator maintains that safety measures are in place at the above-ground station, and that Nitcharee Peneakchanasak, 15, was negligent about ensuring her own safety while waiting for the train. It added in defence papers filed in the High Court by its lawyer K. Anparasan of KhattarWong on Wednesday that the teenager had fallen 'on her own accord'.
