The surprise decision by Mr Desmond Choo comes after he ran into Hougang Member of Parliament Yaw Shin Leong last Thursday at the Istana, during President Tony Tan's swearing-in ceremony. During their unplanned meeting, Mr Choo and Mr Yaw, of the Workers' Party (WP), discussed working together for the benefit of Hougang residents.
