FROM June to November in 2010, between two to five pedestrians were killed and up to 104 hurt. Many other smaller injuries - bumps and knocks - are still likely to go unreported though. Motorists however, say that pedestrians engrossed in sending text messages, surfing the Web or playing a game, are to blame too. The activity has even picked up a name - 'distracted walking'. It is a play on distracted driving, the label for motorists texting or talking on their mobiles while driving. Many Singaporeans seem to be SMSing or talking on the phone when they cross the road these days. Do you do that? Tell us why.
