Donors enable successful bid to procure dinosaurs

The major donors are Dr and Mrs Lee Seng Gee together with the D S Lee Foundation. With their very generous contribution, donations from an unnamed donor, Siloso Beach Resort, BinjaiTree, Bengawan Solo as well as many private well-wishers, these three sauropods or “long-neck” dinosaurs will form the centrepiece of the new museum’s gallery. Two of the dinosaurs have already been mounted and arrangements are being made to see when they can arrive in NUS. The largest of the trio, measuing 27 metres in length, will arrive by 2014.
