Police arrest 92 people in Joo Chiat, Geylang raids

The police arrested 92 people on Sunday after raiding entertainment outlets along Joo Chiat and Geylang Road. -- ST PHOTO: WANG HUI FEN By Tham Yuen-C The police arrested 92 people on Sunday after raiding entertainment outlets along Joo Chiat and Geylang Road. Those nabbed ranged in age from 18 to 46 years, and were picked up for employment offences, immigration offences and vice-related activities. The operation, led by the Bedok Police Division ended early on Sunday morning and involved other agencies such as the Criminal Investigation Department, the Central Narcotics Bureau, the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority, the Singapore Civil Defence Force and the Ministry of Manpower.
