Private residential prices in Singapore up 17.6% in 2010 (via ST iPhone App)

OVERALL prices of private residential properties increased by 2.7 per cent in the fourth quarter, compared with the 2.9 per cent increase in the previous quarter, unchanged from the flash estimates released earlier this January. Prices have gained 17.6 per cent in 2010 compared to a 1.8 per cent rise in 2009, the Urban Redevelopment Authority said on Friday. Non-landed homes saw price gains of 1.8 per cent, inching up on the 1.6 per cent in the third quarter. Homes in the city centre saw prices rise by 2.2 per cent, while city fringe and suburban areas saw gains of 1.9 per cent and 2.1 per cent respectively in the three months ending Dec 31.
