SINGAPORE - “St Jerome’s Laneway Festival” may sound like some holy congregation for car enthusiasts, but this indie gathering will rival the adrenalin and noise any race track can elicit. Born from the underground music scene of Down Under, the music festival has grown to become so hugely popular it graduated to become part of the Australia's music festival circuit, hitting Singapore with its inaugural concert in Asia. Headlining the Saturday event will be Aussie band Temper Trap along with other bands such as LadyHawke, Warpaint, Chk! Chk Chk! and the Yeasayers. The January 29 festival will kick off at Fort Canning Park to the sounds of Warpaint, a band that hails from the US. Once again, do not be fooled by the name.
