[CNA] MediaCorp selects Ericsson to manage OTT services

SINGAPORE : MediaCorp has selected Ericsson to manage its new Over-the-Top (OTT) service via broadband connection to customers. This marks Ericsson's first managed services deal with a media company in Asia. The move came after MediaCorp announced a new interactive service, to be introduced in the second half of this year, that will revolutionise the way users watch television and use Internet-enabled devices - from PCs to tablet devices and mobile phones. Users will be able to access content that leverages on MediaCorp's TV, radio, print and online offerings, as well as third party content. MediaCorp will leverage on Ericsson's solutions, including encoding, encrypting, publishing and delivering content and application.
