Another $1.13 billion worth of contracts have also been handed out for trains, a signalling system, platform screen-doors and a communications system. With more contracts to be awarded, such as for other electrical and mechanical systems, an overrun of the forecast budget of $12 billion for the 42km line looks almost certain.
