LYON-BORN, New York-based celebrity chef Daniel Boulud is a busy, busy, busy man, globe-trotting and visiting the fresh markets of different cities. He was so inspired by his travels, he opened a new Mediterranean-themed fine dining restaurant, Boulud Sud, last May on New York City's Upper West Side to rave reviews. The New York Times called it "the Manhattan equivalent of a private yacht anchored off Monaco, serving the food of Sardinia, Greece, Tunisia, Gibraltar, Beirut". You don't have to feel too bad about missing out - the 56-year-old stopped by last week to introduce some items from Boulud Sud into our very own DB Bistro's menu at Marina Bay Sands.
