Chinese businessman books 62-year-old, $250k bottle of Dalmore Scotch on display at Changi Airport

A quarter of a million dollars will change hands in Singapore - all for one very rare bottle of Scotch whisky. The bottle in question, a 62-year-old Dalmore Scotch, was reserved at Changi Airport about two weeks ago. A spokesman for Changi Airport Group (CAG) confirmed that a businessman in his 40s from China made a deposit of $100,000 for the bottle, which comes at a price tag of $250,000. That makes it one of the highest prices ever fetched for a bottle of whisky. It was brought in about six months ago by upmarket retailer DFS Galleria for an event that showcased a collection of rare spirits and champagne from around the world.
