Yellow Ribbon Run draws more than 9,000 participants

A record number of more than 9,000 people took part in the Yellow Ribbon Prison Run on Sunday morning. -- PHOTO: ZAOBAO A record number of more than 9,000 people took part in the Yellow Ribbon Prison Run on Sunday morning. The event, which aims to raise awareness and generate acceptance of prisoners, was held for the third year running, and organised as part of the Yellow Ribbon Project. The guest of honour, Mr Chan Chun Sing, Acting Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports, flagged off the run at Farnborough Road near Changi Village. Mr Chan and Minister of State for Home Affairs Masagos Zulkifli also took part in the 6km fun run.
