Heard this before? Ground RSAF fighter jets for PSLE listening comprehension exam, says our reader.

I LIVE in Sengkang and I have to put up with the noise pollution caused by the Republic of Singapore Air Force fighter jets regularly. For the sake of national security, I have learnt to put up with the deafening noise. Last Friday was the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) listening comprehension exam day. The roar of the jets was deafening during the examination. While it may not have been for long, it was disconcerting enough for children taking the examination. Can the Ministry of Defence liaise with the Ministry of Education to make sure that parents and pupils can have peace of mind during any national listening exam days? I suppose it won't harm a bit to have a half day of no flights. Chong Yuen Foong (Madam) Please enable JavaScript to view the comments powered by Disqus. blog comments powered by Disqus
