Ex-offenders relay their stories: SINGAPORE: A group of ex-offenders told their stories of imprisonment and gang...

SINGAPORE: A group of ex-offenders told their stories of imprisonment and gang involvement to an audience on Saturday. Their message: "See the path less travelled, and learn from it". Called the "Architects of Life" or AOL, the group of 15 ex-offenders was conducting a seminar at the Eunos Community Club. The seminar, attended by about 100 youths, parents and social workers, was aimed at teaching the community ways of dealing with behavioural problems of Singapore's youths. North-East District Mayor Teo Ser Luck said it is important to work with outreach groups like AOL. He voiced plans to establish a resource centre for at-risk youths in the near future. Mayor Teo said there is a possibility that existing facilities could be used to host the centre - be it tapping into the facilities of community centres, family service centres or even setting up small centres at HDB void...
