Father and son dangling from rollercoaster rescued - Yahoo! via @yahoosg
A father and son were perilously close to injury after they were left dangling upside-down for 30 minutes on a rollercoaster in China. The pair were the only people on the ride as it stalled before it could descend from a tight loop 50 feet above ground. Rescue efforts were hampered by wet conditions at the Shandong amusement park, leaving local firemen unable to use a cherry-picker or bulldozer due to the unsteady ground. They opted instead to tie a length of rope to the carriage, managing to dislodge it from the loop through manpower which sent it shooting down the track. The father and son were sent to hospital after the escape, though it is not known if they sustained any injuries from incident.
