DR ANDY Ho's commentary ("Perils of chiropractic neck manipulation"; Jan 21) on the possible cerebrovascular complications of neck manipulation by chiropractors drew vigorous defensive responses last Wednesday from Professor Michael Haneline of the International Medical University, Kuala Lumpur ("No proof that manipulating neck causes strokes") and Ms Janet Ruth Sosna, president of Asia Pacific Chiropractic Doctors' Federation ("Chiropractic increasingly going mainstream").
