The Association of Banks in Singapore has issued a warning that a spyware program has been infecting users' computers to steal online banking passwords. -- PHOTO: REUTERS By Irene Tham The Association of Banks in Singapore has issued a warning that a spyware program has been infecting users' computers to steal online banking passwords. The non-profit industry body said in a statement that there has been 'a few cases' of Internet banking customers whose computers were infected by the SpyEye malware. SpyEye is downloaded onto users' computers when they visit infected websites, open infected e-mail messages or download unknown files containing the malware from social networking websites. When users of infected computers enter their usernames and passwords on their bank's website, a banner will pop up carrying the following message: 'We are checking your security settings. Ple...
