Russia expels British journalist: A British journalist who co-authored a… #FreeAssangeNow

A British journalist who co-authored a recent book about the WikiLeaks website has been expelled from Russia, according to a statement from the Guardian newspaper. Mr Luke Harding, who wrote WikiLeaks: Inside Julian Assange's War on Secrecy, was refused entry to Moscow at the weekend and placed on a return flight to London. He has worked in Russia since 2007 and has written articles about allegations of Kremlin corruption based on the US diplomatic cables revealed by WikiLeaks. He reported on Dec 1 that the cables condemn Russia as a "virtual mafia state". "This is clearly a very troubling development with serious implications for press freedom, and it is worrying that the Russian government should now kick out reporters of whom they disapprove," said Mr Alan Rusbridger, the Guardian's editor.
