MFA appeals for information on body of Singaporean in Beijing morgue, which has gone unclaimed since August

Mr Koh was found dead in his apartment on Aug 27. -- PHOTO: COURTESY OF MFA The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) is appealing for anyone with information about a Singaporean - whose body has been lying in a Beijing morgue since August - to contact it. Mr Francis Koh Moh Yang, 68, was found dead in his Beijing apartment on Aug 27 and efforts by the MFA to trace his next of kin have been in vain. His identity was traced to Singapore after checks with the police here. Mr Koh is believed to have been suffering from some illness but the cause of death has yet to be confirmed. He was married to a Taiwanese, Ms Hsu Gin-yu, but efforts to trace her have proved futile. He was previously married to a Singaporean and was known to have lived at a ninth-floor flat at 19 Jalan Jintan until 1986.
