But some things to take note if you're new to this: -Make sure you warm up sufficiently with the treadmill or eliptical trainer, and do light repetitions with the exercises you'll handle before you get into the workout proper – for instance a light set of squats before the squat set, and a light set of bench presses before your bench press set. Or a light set of both exercises if you're doing them as a circuit. -Expect to lift much less weight and do less repetitions, as you'll be doing much more overall work in a total-body workout as opposed to a back-and-biceps workout session, for instance.
