SINGAPORE: Singapore's Remy Ong has hit gold at the Commonwealth Tenpin Bowling Championship in Malaysia. The 32-year old emerged champion in the Men's Masters after coming from behind to beat Malaysia's Adrian Ang in the finals. Ong bowled 206 pinfalls to his rival's 161. Shanya Ng clinched silver in the Women's Masters, to bring Singapore's total tally at the event to three gold and two silver medals. This means the Republic tops the overall medal tally, with England second and hosts Malaysia third. The week-long event, which ended on Saturday, was held at the Sunway Mega lanes in Petaling Jaya.
