But, amidst this flux, Singapore needs to be confident and clear about its priorities, Mr Lee said. He set out how the Government will tackle both immediate and long-term challenges facing the city state. He pledged to keep housing affordable and redouble efforts to improve public transport. The Housing Board will build 25,000 new flats in 2012, matching 2011's record supply since the start of the Build-To-Order scheme.
