SINGAPORE: From August this year students can choose from 14 arts degree programmes to be offered under a tie up between the Lasalle College of the Arts and Goldsmiths College, University of London. These programmes are designed and developed by Lasalle and validated by Goldsmiths, one of the world's top universities for Arts and Humanities. Fees for the programmes will be subsidised for Singaporean and permanent resident(PR) students. Singaporeans pay S$10,000 per year, down from S$18,000 while PRs pay S$13,200, down from S$19,000. Speaking at the signing ceremony on Wednesday, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said the partnership is an important step forward for Singapore's arts and cultural landscape.
