A professor shares what he learnt from the Champions League final.

ANYONE who watched the Champions League final between Barcelona and Manchester United on Sunday morning will agree who is the worthy winner. The story does not end here. Normally, the club or match captain would have the honour of lifting the trophy, but in a dramatic gesture, club captain Carles Puyol and match captain Xavi Hernandez allowed left-back Eric Abidal, who had just recovered from surgery to remove a liver tumour, to do so.
