PM Lee, US President Trump affirm strong bilateral ties in phone call

SINGAPORE — Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and United States President Donald Trump spoke on the phone on Sunday night (April 30) and affirmed the deep and longstanding relationship between Singapore and America. “They expressed satisfaction that ministers from both sides are already working with each other and looked forward to meeting each other soon,” said a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, adding that this was the second phone conversation between the two leaders.
