Ex-PAP ministers and appointment-holders who have recently retired or ousted from office are enjoying the best years of their lives as Singaporeans continue to pay their monthly multi-million dollar pensions. Speaking at an event to honor 10 former PAP politicians by Jamiyah Singapore and the Singapore Buddhist Lodge, former PAP Speaker of Parliament Abdullah Tarmugi CRIED when he recalled his 27 years of dedicated ’service’ to the PAP regime: ‘Twenty-seven years of doing something, it somehow gets stuck in your soul,’ he said.
