Minister for Education Heng Swee Kiat, made this comment to reporters on Sunday after a brisk walk and aerobics session with residents at the Community Sports festival @ North East. Answering questions on education, Mr Heng stressed the importance of developing 21st century competencies for students. At the centre of this is educating students about values, so that Singaporeans as a whole will have 'a sense of responsibility, resilience and care for the broader community', he said.
