This is addition to the $300 million set aside in 2006 for the industry, raising the total budget to $470 million. Mr Tharman said Singapore is hopeful that with these investments, it will achieve its goal of growing the contribution from this sector from $0.5 billion in 2003 to $1.7 billion by 2015, with a doubling of jobs in the industry by then.
