Learning hub and much more under new NTU leadership

SINGAPORE - A learning hub for students to discuss project work, more hostels for a vibrant campus and newly reconfigured classrooms ready for use in the new semester. These will be some of the new features that Nanyang Technological University (NTU) students can look forward to under the leadership of its new president Bertil Andersson. Speaking at a press conference to announce the university's new senior management, Professor Andersson also shed light on the coming projects in the NTU, including plans for a building where rooms with technology facilities will be available for students to conduct meetings. The S$45-million building, which will be open 24 hours and has a cafe, is expected to be ready by 2013. A second such learning hub - to be completed by 2015 - is also in the pipeline. In five years, another four to eight new hostels will be built to increase the number...
