So what is driving the enterprise mobility? Gogia explained that task workers, which makes up 11 percent of all employees in 2011, are the new mobile worker segment that drives mobile device and application requirements. These mobile task workers are predicted to account for 15 per cent of all global workers by 2015 in vertical industries such as healthcare, retail, manufacturing, transportation, chemicals and petroleum. According to the Forrester research, task workers tend tend to use native applications on a single platform to address specific tasks or activities that are significant part of their daily jobs.
