Venture Capitalist, Global Brain Japan to set up office in Singapore

With strong networks in Japan and North America, Global Brain is a venture capital with a funding size of 11.6 billion yen that is excited to enter the Southeast Asian market in search for outstanding ventures. Under its new establishment of the USD$66 million “KDDI Open Innovation Fund ” together with KDDI Corporation of Japan, Global Brain also intends to find and provide hands-on support to foreign technology ventures from SEA interested to enter the Japanese market and vice versa. In addition, KDDI will support service development, provide platforms for cloud services, and cooperate in promotional initiatives. From the Singapore office, Global Brain will be stationing executives to permanently scout for promising ventures in not only Singapore, but also around the SEA region.
